摘要
This chapter shows what may be involved in continuing design in use, and how we, in the initial design process, may create systems are tailorable. It discusses the relationship between use and designing in use and takes a brief look at the people doing the tailoring. The chapter highlights the practice of designing in use. It summarizes how to support tailoring in the initial design of systems. Tailoring a system, continuing designing in use, is an activity different from initial design. However, the hospital example discussed illustrates what we consider to be successful tailoring of a system, but not one done by the users directly.
