THE SYNTAX OF “NE”: SOME THEORETICAL IMPLICATIONS 论文

摘要

The article addresses the study of the cliticization properties of Italian clitic "ne", showing that its distribution is due to principled reasons within the theory of syntax, only movement of the clitic from a governed postverbal position being allowed. A comparison between cliticization from a postverbal direct object and postverbal subjects of different nature is assessed in detail.
